WINE DESCRIPTION
The Liquid Geography Rosado is a charity project with 50% of the profits being donated to cancer and disability charities. The wine is made with 100% Mencia grapes grown in the Bierzo region of Atlantic Spain. The wine is made from vineyards owned by the Guerra Winery, which is responsible for over 33% of all the vineyard plantings in Bierzo. Guerra reserves the best 10% of its fruit for this project, ensuring consistent high quality. The wine is made by direct pressing of the fruit and a cool ferment to maximize the fruit expression. The sapish cherry and blueberry fruit with lean acidity and subtle crushed rock minerality makes this a great choice for those seeking refreshment and those who want their drinking to have a charitable bend.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
Liquid Geography Rosado is a delightful Spanish rosé wine made from the Mencia grape. On the nose, Liquid Geography Rosado offers a bouquet of fresh red berries, such as strawberries and raspberries, accompanied by subtle floral notes. When it comes to taste, this rosé wine displays a medium body with a crisp texture and a refreshing acidity. The finish is modest in length but shows a pleasing gravel-like minerality. This makes an enjoyable alternative to French rose wines over the summer and a great match for octopus or other seafoods.
