WINE DESCRIPTION
Layer Cake Chardonnay is a lightly oaked example of Chardonnay with a textured mid-palate and ripe expression of forward fruit intended for everyday drinking over the short term. The wine is made from 100% Chardonny grapes grown in the Central Coast region of California where the oceanic proximity provides a cooling influence that promotes acidic balance in the wine, resulting in a fresher style. The wine is fermented at cool temperatures to preserve the fruit character. Part of the wine is matured in old oak to proide a genle vanillin oak character on the finish. This wine is a good choice for those who enjoy Chardonnay with a elegant balance between ripe fruit and freshness along with a light touch on the oak front.

The Layer Cake Chardonnay is a medium bodied wine with a texture mid-palate and balanced acidity.A medium intensity gold color in the glass, leads to a nose of ripe lemon peel and yellow peach.
