WINE DESCRIPTION
The Flat Rock Ranch vineyard, situated in close proximity to the northeast corner of Yountville Cross Road, boasts a distinctive terroir that gives rise to its coveted and intricate fruit. This exceptional quality can be attributed to the interplay of unique geological and meteorological factors. The presence of volcanic soils akin to those found in the neighboring Stags Leap District, coupled with the influence of coastal marine air currents from the San Pablo Bay to the south, results in a natural cooling effect as they intersect the "Yountville Mounts." This fortuitous combination, combined with abundant sunshine during the day, brings about the perfect conditions for the gradual ripening of our renowned Cabernet Sauvignon, allowing its rich tannins to develop into an elegantly distinguished character.

The wine's exceptional quality is hinted at by its striking deep crimson edge, transitioning into a vibrant purple core.The olfactory experience is characterized by a pristine bouquet, offering prominent notes of fig jam, Kona coffee, vanilla, and cherry cola. In terms of body, this wine is of medium weight, featuring supple tannins and moderate acidity that harmonize exquisitely with pronounced flavors of molasses, blackberry jam, and a hint of rosemary. Crafted for longevity, this wine is ideally suited for cellaring, but it can also be savored alongside a delectable mid-rare A5 Wagyu meal.
