L'Acino Chora Rosso is a captivating expression of Calabria’s terroir, crafted by the visionary trio behind L’Acino winery. Founded in 2006 by Antonello Canonico, Dino Briglio, and Emilio Di Cianni—originally a filmmaker, historian, and lawyer—the estate champions natural winemaking and organic viticulture. Grown at 400 meters above sea level on clay-rich soils, the 10-year-old Magliocco vines are meticulously cultivated using cordone speronato pruning. Harvested in late September, the grapes undergo a minimalist vinification process, followed by 10–12 months of aging in steel tanks, preserving the variety's authenticity. Produced in a limited quantity of 6,000 bottles, Chora Rosso reflects the trio's commitment to creating a fresh, elegant wine that redefines the potential of Calabrian reds.
