WINE DESCRIPTION
King Estate Chardonnay is produced from estate only fruit from Oregon's Willamette Valley. After hand harvesting, the grapes are whole cluster pressed and fermented in oak barrels, stainless steel and concrete egg vessels. A proportion of the wine undergoes a secondary malolactic fermentation, a process used to soften the acidity and add a creamy dimension to the wine. The wine is matured for under a year in French oak barrels, a proportion of which are new, with some lees stirring to add texture to the wine.
