Kellerei . Cantina KALTERN Müller Thurgau is a tribute to Trentino's winemaking heritage. Crafted from the resilient Müller Thurgau grape, weathered in the cold mountain climates, this white wine unexpectedly resonates with the rhythm of surf and waves, and a sun-kissed scent of sage. A 100% pure varietal, the vines, aged up to 20 years, thrive in classic Trentino pergola and Gujot methods, yielding 80 hectoliters per hectare. The vinification process involves destemming, soft pressing, natural decanting, controlled-temperature fermentation, and four months of maturation on fine lees in steel tanks. Grown on hilly terrain with east exposure, 550 to 650 meters above sea level, the predominantly calcareous and clayey soil imparts a distinct mineral character to this Müller Thurgau expression.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
This medium-bodied Kellerei .Cantina KALTERN Müller Thurgau has a pale golden hue and a light, floral nose. The palate is crisp and lively, with aromas of green apple, pear, and a hint of citrus. On the finish, the wine is smooth, refreshing, and full of ripe fruit flavors. It's a great summer sipper and pairs well with lighter dishes.
