The Girardin family has been producing wine in Burgundy for centuries. Justin Girardin recently took over the 17-hectare estate from his father, Jacques, the brother of renowned négociant Vincent Girardin. The estate extends from Santenay to Savigny-lès-Beaune, including Chassagne-Montrachet and Pommard. Although not certified, the estate follows organic practices. Justin, a modest and skilled winemaker, focuses on minimal intervention, crafting wines that reflect the true character of the terroir. His Santenay wines offer a captivating glimpse into the Côte d'Or's lesser-known villages.
