WINE DESCRIPTION
The Girardin family is renowned in winemaking, with Jacques Girardin producing wine from his own domaine since 1978. Located in Santenay, the 17-hectare Domaine Jacques Girardin crafts a variety of red and white wines, including 1er Cru sites in Santenay, Savigny-lès-Beaune, and Chassagne-Montrachet, and a distinguished old vines Bourgogne Pinot Noir. Jacques and his wife Valerie run the domaine, with their son Justin recently joining after gaining experience in Australia. Their Santenay 1er Cru features 100% Pinot Noir from 45-year-old vines, sustainably farmed on limestone and marl soils, yielding 42 hl/ha, and producing approximately 11,000 bottles annually.
