WINE DESCRIPTION
Isola Augusta Ribolla Gialla is a fresh, varietally-expressive wine hailing from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in the Northeast of Italy.
Vines are planted on clay, silt and sand soils that helps retain water during the warm growing season. The vinification method involves crushing the grapes and allowing the juice to macerate for a short period prior to the alcoholic fermentation. Malolactic conversion, a process used to soften the acidity is blocked with the aim of retain the brightness and vibrancy. The wine is matured briefly in bottle prior to its release.
