WINE DESCRIPTION
Iron + Sand, crafted by Trinchero Family Estates, pays homage to Paso Robles' history as California's oldest watering place. Iconic springs like Iron Spring and Sand Spring, once known for thermal mineral waters, now symbolize the region's viticultural transformation. This Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from Estrella River Ranch and Steffano II Vineyard, embodies Paso's classic terroir. Fermented on top of storage tanks, the minimal pump usage enhances quality. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Petite Sirah, aged in French and American oak, unveils a dense purple hue. Aromas of dark fruit, blueberry, and cassis precede a velvety palate of black cherry, coffee, and mocha, framed by lively acidity and fine tannins, promising a long, supple finish.
