WINE DESCRIPTION
Les Angelots is named after a 138-are parcel near Château Angélus, likely drawing its name from this proximity. Acquired by Michel Gracia in the mid-2000s from Château Lucia, this vineyard provides Merlot and Cabernet Franc with a terroir of gravel rich in iron deposits, with Merlot being the dominant grape. After manual harvesting, vinification occurs in stainless steel, concrete, and tronconic wooden vats, followed by an 18-month aging in oak barrels. The result is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru that is ample and rich, with well-structured tannins and a robust mouthfeel. Best enjoyed after aeration or with extended cellaring.
