NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
G.D.Vajra's Albe Barolo is an incredibly complex and nuanced wine. The nose offers up aromas of ripe red and black cherries, red plums, licorice, rose petals, and a hint of smoky oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and concentrated, with layers of ripe cherries, plums, and berries combined with a hint of herbs, spice, and earthy notes. The tannins are round and soft, providing balance to the vibrant acidity and leading to a long, lingering finish. This Barolo is an outstanding example of the Nebbiolo grape, and will continue to improve over the next decade or more.
