WINE DESCRIPTION
Frey Biodynamic Merlot is made from biodynamically grown Merlot grapes in a no added sulphur style. Frey vineyards were the first USDA certified organic producer back in 1980. The fruit all comes from their vineyards in Mendocino County. The winemaking involves a no intervention approach that may result in greater vintage variation and some funky aromas. This is a good choice for those seeking a modern taking on a classic Californian grape.

Frey Biodynamic Merlot is a beautiful expression of the Merlot varietal.On the nose, it offers aromas of blueberry and a hint of plum, which is complemented by subtle notes of nutmeg. On the palate, it is smooth and silky, with a rich texture and flavors of dark fruits, vanilla and allspice. The finish is long and persistent, with a pleasant earthiness. Overall, this is an excellent Merlot that is sure to please many wine lovers.

The North Coast of California has a long and storied history of winemaking, dating back to the mid-1800s.
