Fratelli Bettini Rosso di Valtellina is a tannic, savory red wine hailing from the Valtellina region, located within the Lombardy region of northern Italy. The wine is composed mostly from Nebbiolo, known locally as Chiavennasca, well known for giving highly-structured wines with hauntingly perfumed aromatics. The vineyards are located on the softer sloping and rocky areas of Retica banks tending to producing lighter styles. This Rosso di Valtellina is a superb alternative to the wines from the neighbouring region of Piedmont.
