WINE DESCRIPTION
This Bourgogne Pinot Noir is a regional-level wine is produced by Maison François Martenot that originates in Savigny-lès-Beaune. Grapes undergo a traditional vinification process with a short cold soak to increase extraction of color and aromatics prior to the alcoholic fermentation. The fermentation itself takes place in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats, whilst the maturation occurs in a combination of stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. A small proportion of the oak barrels are new, which imparts notes of sweet baking spices to the red fruit profile.

Francois Martenot Bourgogne Pinot Noir has an attractive pale to medium ruby hue.The nose reveals ripe red berries, such as cherries and raspberries, accompanied by subtle floral notes. There is an underlying earthiness and a touch of spice intermingled with the fruit, adding complexity. The palate of this wine is well-balanced, with a medium body and silky tannins. The flavors of red fruits continue to shine, with a lovely freshness and a touch of acidity. Subtle oak notes are present without dominating or masking the bright red berry flavors.
