Franco Serra, a testament to the Sperone family's four-generation legacy, reflects the artistry of Italian winemaking. Hand-harvested grapes undergo a meticulous three-week maceration and four-week fermentation in stainless steel. Aged for two years in 20% new oak barrels, followed by three months post-bottling, it epitomizes elegance. The Sperone family, pioneers since 1911, emerged from war challenges. Antonio's vision for quality wines at affordable prices transcended destruction. Surviving in Puglia, it flourished, enabling Giacomo to establish a new facility in Milan. In 1983, the family acquired prime Piedmont vineyards, solidifying their commitment to fine wine, embodied in the current Mombaruzzo winery.
