WINE DESCRIPTION

This Firestone Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich, fruit-forward red produced by Firestone Vineyard, located in the appellation of Paso Robles in Central Coast California. This region experiences a warm climate, ideal for ripening Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The winemaking process involves crushing the grapes, followed by fermentation in stainless steel vats. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, a small percentage of which are new, which rounds out the tannins and gives a delicate hint of sweet spices to the blackcurrant and plum flavors.

This Firestone Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep ruby-purple hue.The nose offers aromas of bright blackcurrant, plum, and blackberry, with touches of coffee, bay leaf, and cedar. On the palate, it is full-bodied and juicy, with soft, ripe tannins and notes of blackberry, dark chocolate, and cinnamon. The wine is ripe and fruit-forward with modest finish and a subtle hint of smoky oak. The acidity is well-integrated and whilst not hugely refreshing, manages to offset the ripeness of fruit.
