RONCAGLIA is a small village along the coast near Pesaro, surrounded by hills at the edge of the Monte San Bartolo Natural Park. These hills are renowned for cultivating Albanella, a native grape traditionally used for the city's white wine. Since the early 1970s, Fattoria Mancini has produced a wine named Roncaglia, blending Albanella with a small addition of Pinot Noir vinified as white. In 1994, this wine earned the D.O.C. Colli Pesaresi Roncaglia designation. Vinified in stainless steel to preserve Albanella's unique character, Roncaglia is a wine of good structure, longevity, and vibrant freshness, with citrus notes and pronounced minerality and salinity from the nearby sea.
