WINE DESCRIPTION
Fabiano Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico is a blend of Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and Croatina hailing from the Valpolicella region of Northwest Italy. The wine is crafted using the traditional appassimento method which involves hand harvesting bunches, which are dried to concentrate their flavors, acidity and sugar. The dried berries are fermented, resulting in a rich and full-bodied wine that is then matured for around 30 months in large oak barrels and for another 3 months in the bottle before being released.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
Fabiano Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico has a deep, inky appearance. On the nose, it offers a hugely complex bouquet of ripe dark fruits, such as black cherry, plum, and blackberry, accompanied by hints of dried herbs, tobacco, and a touch of dark chocolate shavings. On the palate, this powerful wine exhibits a full-bodied and luscious texture, with well-integrated tannins that provide structure and balance. The flavors mirror the aromas, with luscious dark fruit notes taking center stage, complemented by nuances of chocolate, coffee, and spice. The slightly warming finish is long and layered.
