WINE DESCRIPTION
Eroica Ice Wine Riesling was born out of a collaboration of the Dr. Loosen estate of Germany, and Chateau Ste. Michelle of Washington state. For this wine, frozen grapes were picked and pressed immediately to release sweet, concentrated juice, leaving behind the water in the form of ice. The juice underwent a slow, cold and partial fermentation to preserve the rich, concentrated Riesling aromas and natural fruit character. The fermentation was stopped before completion to retain sweetness in the wine, which helps balance the racy acidity.
