WINE DESCRIPTION
Donnachadh Pinot Noir is a red wine produced by Donnachadh Wines, a family owned operation in Santa Rita Hills AVA of California's Central Coast. Founded in 2013 their vineyards are young and this will be an estate to watch as the vines come into maturity. The vineyards are certified organic and Pinot Noir is grown on both exposed hillsides and sheltered riverside locations. The grapes are partially destemmed to provide aromatic lift. The grapes are sourced from a carefully selected vineyard in a prestigious appellation known for its ideal growing conditions. The vineyard features unique soil and climate characteristics that impart distinct flavors and aromas to the wine. The winemaking process is meticulous, with a focus on preserving the natural qualities of the grapes. The resulting wine is elegant and refined, with a delicate balance of fruit and earthy notes. Donnachadh Pinot Noir is a perfect choice for those who appreciate the artistry of winemaking and the complexity of a well-crafted wine.

The Central Coast of California is a wine lover's paradise, boasting a wide variety of climates, soils, and grape varieties. Located between San Francisco and Los Angeles, the Central Coast spans from Monterey County in the north to Santa Barbara County in the south. With its diverse topography and Mediterranean climate, the Central Coast is home to some of the most renowned wineries in the United States. The Central Coast has a long and storied history of winemaking, dating back to the mid-1800s. The first vineyards were planted in the Santa Clara Valley, and by the late 1800s, the region was producing some of the finest wines in the country. The region's reputation for quality wines was further solidified in the early 1989, when the Santa Clara Valley was declared among the first American Viticultural Area (AVA) in the United States.
