WINE DESCRIPTION
Domaine Thierry Mortet Gevrey-Chambertin is produced from estate fruit from the village of Gevrey-Chambertin known for giving robust and muscular styles of wine. Pinot Noir grown on clay-limestone soils is hand-harvested and fully de-stemmed before undergoing a cold soak prior to the fermentation to extract colour and increase the aromatic intensity of the wine. After fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately a year and half of which 1 year is aged in oak (circa 30% new) with the remainder aged in inert vessel.

A vibrant and well-defined earthy Gevrey-Chambertin from Domaine Thierry Mortet, this red is a delightful combination of tart cherry, cranberry, and raspberry aromas that are lifted by a hint of roses.The palate is medium-bodied and perfumed, with a core of red fruit and a subtle earthy note that lingers throughout. The tannins are ripe and silky, the persistent finish delicately savory note.
