WINE DESCRIPTION
This exquisite Chablis Grand Cru comes from Domaine Pattes Loup, located in the heart of the Chablis region in France. Made entirely from Chardonnay grapes grown in the limestone-rich soils of the region, this wine expresses the true character of the terroir. The farming is done organically and biodynamically in the less-known area of Courgis, and harvests everything by hand. Depending on the vintage and cuvée, fermentation takes place in neutral wood, concrete, or stainless steel, with some wines remaining on the lees for an extended period of time. This is a wonderfully chiselled and racy Chablis from the superb 2018 vintage that should develop nicely with time in bottle.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
This Domaine Pattes Loup Chablis is a crisp and clean expression of Chardonnay. With bright acidity and notes of green apple, lemon zest, and white flowers, it is a delightful wine to drink. Its stony minerality adds a pleasant texture and structure to the palate. The finish is light and refreshing, making it a great choice for any occasion.
