WINE DESCRIPTION
Domaine Oratoire Saint Martin Haut-Coustias Cairanne Blanc is an exceptional white wine from the southern Rhône Valley's renowned Cairanne cru. This biodynamic and organic wine is crafted from old vines situated on the highest limestone and clay slopes of the region. The Mediterranean climate, characterized by hot, dry summers and the cleansing mistral wind, creates ideal conditions for viticulture. The wine undergoes direct pressing with a pneumatic press, followed by cold settling for 24 hours. Fermentation and aging occur in concrete tanks, large wooden vats, and eggs for nine months, utilizing indigenous yeasts and no malolactic fermentation. The result is a beautifully textured and complex blend of Marsanne, Grenache Blanc, and Roussanne, offering vibrant acidity and refined minerality, reflective of its unique terroir.

Although wines of all color are made, both regions are most famous for thier red wine. The Northern Rhone is known for its full-bodied red wines made from Syrah grapes with the possible inclusion of some white grapes, while the Southern Rhone is known for its blends of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre grapes.
