WINE DESCRIPTION
Domaine Ilarria is located in Irouléguy in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, a family estate with centuries of history. The name "Ilarria" comes from Basque, meaning "place of the Landes." The estate spans 30 hectares, with 10 hectares dedicated to vines: 2 hectares of Petit Manseng and Courbu for white wine, and 8 hectares of red (Tannat, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon). The vines are planted on limestone slopes facing south and southeast, which provide excellent drainage and retain heat. The estate is managed organically, preserving tradition and respecting nature. Tradition Red is a blend of Tannat, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, with no new wood used.
