Domaine Fournier Père et Fils Sancerre Blanc 'Silex' hails from the famous appellation of Sancerre, located in France's Loire Valley. The
wine is produced entirely from the pungent and herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc grape. The wine is called 'Silex', the French for 'Flint', which points to the soil in which the vines are grown. These silex soils impart a distinct mineral character to the wine. The winemaking process involves a thermo-regulated fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with a further period of maturation on fine lees before being bottled.
