Domaine Faury Syrah is a Syrah-based, dry red wine from the Collines Rhodaniennes PGI, located within the Rhône region of France. The grapes are sourced from the overarching appellation which gives the producer more flexibility and freedom when crafting their wines. The winemaking process at Domaine Faury is meticulous, with a focus on traditional methods and minimal intervention. The domaine has a strong aversion to new oak, meaning that while all wines are oak-aged, new barrels are kept to a minimum, in order to showcase the terroir and varietal character.

Domaine Faury Syrah presents a deep purple hue in the glass with medium staining of the tears, suggesting a wine of moderate extraction.The nose is highly expressive with rich dark bramble fruit intermingled with layers of exotic spice and perfumed notes of violets and lavender. The palate of this wine mirror its nose, with layers of dark fruit and earthiness notes harmoniously balanced by well-integrated sinewy tannins. The black fruit is accompanied by a subtle touch of smokiness that lingers on the finish.

It is divided into two main sub-regions: the Northern Rhone, running from Lyon to Montelimar, and the Southern Rhone, from Montelimar to Avignon. Although wines of all color are made, both regions are most famous for thier red wine. The Northern Rhone is known for its full-bodied red wines made from Syrah grapes with the possible inclusion of some white grapes, while the Southern Rhone is known for its blends of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre grapes.
