Domaine de la Tour du Bon Saint Ferréol Bandol is a unique cuvée originating from Domaine's desire in 1987 to isolate the finest Mourvèdre grapes while preserving the integrity of the estate's red wine. Produced only when the classic blend attains its equilibrium, the Saint Ferréol showcases the omnipresent yet enigmatic Mourvèdre grape (90% in this wine) and the diverse soils of the estate. With a robe that can be both spiritual and mysterious, it pays homage to this elusive grape. The wine's character is introspective, rigorous, and direct, offering a spice-infused, peppery palate with mineral imprints reminiscent of the estate's sandstone. Undertones of tobacco, truffle, and lily intertwine with the tangy note of Carignan. The Carignan contributes to the wine's brilliance, enriching its profound character. The wine's name, coincidentally tied to a disciplined military religious figure, mirrors its verticality, akin to the vines and the saint. Mourvèdre, behaving like a bull, aligns with the upright disposition of Saint Ferréol.
