WINE DESCRIPTION
De Angeles Viña 1924 Malbec is from a single vineyard planted in 1924 in Vistalba, Lujan de Cuyo. The grapes undergo an alcoholic fermentation at warm temperatures with the aim of extracting a high level of tannin that will allow this Malbec to improve in bottle. About a quarter of the wine was aged for around 6 months in new French oak barrels to add subtle note clove and baking spices. The wines was matured for a further 8 months in bottle prior to release.

This Malbec from De Angeles Viña 1924 boasts a deep, inky-purple color and a nose of dark, ripe berries and spices.On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, with plush tannins and a persistent finish. The flavors are concentrated and focused, with a core of ripe blueberry, blackberry, currants, and dark plums, framed by hints of violets and undertones of oak. Balanced and elegant, this Malbec shows clear varietal typicity whilst showcasing the potential of old vine fruit.

Region: Mendoza
Mendoza is the largest wine-producing region in Argentina, located in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. It is known for its high-altitude vineyards, producing some of the country's most renowned wines. With a long history of winemaking, Mendoza is now one of the most important wine regions in South America.
