Founded in 1989 by Didier Darviot and Geneviève Perrin, and now led by their son Pierre-Antonin, the estate spans 9 hectares in Burgundy's prestigious communes, including Volnay. 'La Gigotte' comes from the Premier Cru vineyards of Volnay, known for their exceptional terroir and classic Pinot Noir characteristics. The wine is crafted with meticulous attention, aging for 12 months in 228-liter oak barrels—15% of which are new—followed by 7 months in stainless steel. This approach enhances the wine's complexity, with aromas of red berries and subtle earthy notes.
