Since 2018 there is a new, highly exciting project in Rioja: Cuentaviñas. In the area around San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Eduardo Eguren - son of Marcos Eguren, owner of Sierra Cantabria - produces extremely precise and expressive wines of the absolute highest quality.

This Cuentaviñas Alomado is an intriguing Tempranillo based blend.With its deep ruby color, this Spanish red offers aromas of ripe red fruits, with subtle hints of floral and mineral notes. On the palate, it reveals concentrated flavors of cherries, raspberries and blackberries, with a pleasant spicy finish. Balanced and full-bodied, this delightful wine will pair nicely with grilled meats and roasted vegetables.
