WINE DESCRIPTION
Crowley Chardonnay is an oaked, creamy white wine, hailing from the Willamette Valley in Oregon. The vineyards that supply the grapes for this wine are located in the McMinnville Coast Range. The soils have a volcanic origin, lending a subtle smoky note to the wine. Grapes are hand harvested, whole cluster pressed and barrel fermented using indigenous yeasts. The wine is then matured for around one year on the lees in barrel, with a further 6 months in steel on lees prior to bottling.

The Crowley Chardonnay displays a delightful golden hue in the glass.The nose is a little reticent at first, slowly revealing notes of ripe orchard and stone fruits, such as apple, pear and peach, complemented by hints of vanilla and toasted oak. The wine has a rich and creamy texture, with a balanced acidity that adds freshness and zip to the palate. The medium length finish is energetic, marked by a hint of savory yeastiness that offsets the ripe stone fruit flavors.
