WINE DESCRIPTION
In 2006, Cindy fell in love with Petite Sirah during a girl’s trip to Napa. At the time, this varietal was rare in Washington, so she asked Leif Olsen of Olsen Vineyard to plant an acre for her. Busy with her full-time job and business, Cindy “forgot” to mention this to David and Morgan—for three years. Halfway through the 2010 harvest, Leif called Morgan asking for a harvest timeline. “What Petite Sirah?” Morgan replied.

Covington Olsen Vineyard Petite Sirah is a rich and full-bodied red wine with a deep, dark color.On the nose, it exhibits intense aromas of blackberry, blueberry, and plum, accompanied by hints of black pepper and dark chocolate. The palate is bold and powerful, with robust tannins and a velvety texture. Flavors of ripe black fruits, such as black cherry and blackcurrant, dominate the palate, while subtle notes of vanilla and spice add complexity. The wine has a long and lingering finish, showcasing its excellent aging potential.
