WINE DESCRIPTION

Courtney Benham, a prominent figure in quality wine for nearly 30 years, delivers exceptional Napa Valley bottlings. He meticulously selects high-elevation mountain sites, benchland vineyards, and sun-drenched valley locations to produce wines that are expressive, terroir-driven, and surpass expectations. The valley vineyards benefit from ideal sun exposure and cooling southern breezes, with alluvial fans of gravelly to well-drained loam enhancing the grapes' character. Winemaking involves small lot processing, gentle pressing, and cold settling for four days, followed by full malolactic fermentation. The wines are aged in 40% new French oak barrels for 12 months, adding depth and complexity.
