WINE DESCRIPTION

This old vine Chardonnay from Saint-Véran is produced by Domaine Corsin. This family-owned estate is now in its fifth generation and owns 13.6 hectares of Chardonnay in the Mâconnais region. Saint-Véran Vieilles Vignes comes from a vineyard planted on clay-limestone soils. After hand harvesting the grapes, they are gently pressed, with the resulting juice transferred to temperature-controlled, stainless-steel tanks for the fermentation to proceed. Maturation occurs in a combination of French oak barrels and stainless steel vats for around 10 months before being bottled.

Corsin Vieilles Vignes Saint-Véran displays a pale lemon color at its core.On the nose, it offers enticing aromas of ripe yellow fruits, such as apple and nectarine, along with hints of citrus and subtle floral notes. These aromas are complemented by mineral undertones, adding a touch of elegance to the wine. The palate shows fine balance between refreshing acidity and ripe fruit flavors. The wine shows a textural breadth and creamy texture that adds richness to the wine.
