Conte Emo Capodilista La Montecchia Merlot is produced in the Veneto region in north east Italy. This mono-varietal Merlot wines is grown on perfect exposed south-facing slopes. After harvesting and crushing, the wines undergo an alcoholic fermentation in inert vessels with prolonged skin contact. The wines are aged for approximately 1 year in french oak barrels to impart flavors of sweet baking spices and round out the tannins before spending a short period in bottle prior to release.
