Idaho is a small but growing wine region located in the northwestern United States. The state's wine industry began in the 1860s, but it wasn't until the 1970s that modern wine production started to take off. Today, Idaho is home to over 50 wineries and 1,200 acres of vineyards, primarily located in the Snake River Valley AVA.
