WINE DESCRIPTION
Clos Vieux Taillefer, a venerable vineyard established in 1875 by the Robin family, embarked on a new chapter when Nicolas and Alexandra Robin purchased it from their grandfather, Francis Robin, in August 2008. This marked the beginning of a profound transformation under their stewardship. The vineyard was expanded in 2009, followed by the construction of a wine cellar in 2010 and a barrel cellar in 2013. Implementing small winemaking vats enabled meticulous parcel selection and enhanced blend precision, allowing each vineyard section to be individually processed. Guided by oenologist Stéphane Derenoncourt since 2009, the estate emphasizes a bespoke approach to winemaking, respecting the unique terroir and achieving a harmonious balance between the finesse and robustness characteristic of Pomerol's finest wines.
