WINE DESCRIPTION
Domain Claude Dugat is a prestigious, tiny Burgundy estate renowned for its exceptional quality. Located in the historic Cellier des Dimes, purchased by Claude’s father Maurice in 1955, the building, dating back to 1219 with Gallo-Roman pillars, adds a storied backdrop to their winemaking. Claude, with his family, cultivates three hectares of vines and rents an additional three. They also run a small négociant business, La Gibryotte, focusing on their local wines. The domaine's success lies in their meticulous approach: small berries from controlled vigour, destemmed grapes, minimal pumping, and careful barrel aging. The result is richly concentrated wines with a balance of youthfulness and age-worthiness.
