Wine Description:
Clarendon Hills Astralis is a unique and rare Australian Shiraz, crafted from some of the finest vineyards in the Clarendon Hills region of McLaren Vale, South Australia. The winery was founded in 1990 by Roman Bratasiuk, who is known for his passion and dedication to producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. Astralis is made from 100% Shiraz grapes that are grown in the Clarendon Vineyard, which is situated on a steep slope at an elevation of 1,500 feet (457 meters) above sea level. The vineyard is characterized by its shallow, rocky soils and a cool climate that is influenced by the nearby Gulf St. Vincent.

This Clarendon Hills Astralis Syrah is an intense and inky black-purple in hue. The nose presents a powerful and complex array of aromas including dark fruit, licorice, black pepper, and a hint of sweet vanilla. On the palate, it has a rich and concentrated texture with intense flavors of dark fruit, cassis, and blackberry, along with well-integrated notes of pepper, leather, and spice. The finish is long and persistent, with a lingering hint of licorice and blackberry.
