WINE DESCRIPTION

Cielo e Terra Centenero Amarone della Valpolicella is a powerful and full-bodied, dry red wine produced in Veneto, Italy. The wine is made from grapes grown in the Valpolicella appellation, produced using partially dried grapes that are allowed to shrivel for up to 120 days, usually on straw mats. This process concentrates the remaining sugars and flavours in the berries, before the grapes are crushed and fermented giving a rich and deep wine, with intense red fruits and a juicy palate. Some oak ageing increases structure and imparts subtle spice.

This Amarone della Valpolicella from Cielo e Terra Centenero is a deep and complex red that offers ripe and intense aromas of blackberry, dried sour cherry, and prune, followed by subtle hints of licorice and dark chocolate.On the palate, it is powerful, full-bodied and velvety, with a round and intensely tannic structure and a long, persistent finish. Whilst the wine is extremely concentrated and opulent, there is sufficient acidity to support the layers of dried fruit and chocolate.
