WINE DESCRIPTION
Château Ste Anne Bandol Rouge is a distinguished wine from a renowned winery, crafted from organically grown old vines. This Mourvèdre-based wine features a touch of Grenache Noir and Cinsault. The vines are planted on clay-limestone terraces with a silica subsoil, benefitting from a cooling influences of sea breezes, slowing down ripening and allowing mourvedre grapes to fully ripen and keep alcohol levels not too high. Grapes are manually harvested and vinified traditionally, without any chemical additives. The wine undergoes aging in 50 hl oak casks for 18 to 24 months, depending on the vintage. All this effort results in a beautifully crafted complex Bandol wine, a classic example with a long aging potential.
