WINE DESCRIPTION
Château St. Jean Durell Vineyard Pinot Noir is a single vineyard expression of Pinot Noir. The site enjoys the cooling breezes and morning fog from the nearby San Pablo Bay and San Francisco Bay that help preserve freshness and acidity in the grapes. After harvesting, the grapes are crushed, before being fermented in inert vessels with the focus on tannin extraction whilst retaining delicacy of fruit. The wines are matured for a period prior to bottling to round out the mouthfeel.
