WINE DESCRIPTION
Le Cloître du Prieuré-Lichine is the second wine from Grand Cru Classé Château Prieuré-Lichine located in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux, France. The vineyard features a unique terroir with gravelly soil and a maritime climate, which contributes to the wine's exceptional quality. Following harvest, the grapes are destemmed and sorted both manually and by using an optical sorting table to remove unripe berries. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and then aged in a proportion of new french oak barrels to soften the tannins and contribute baking spices to elevate the complexity of the wine. The resulting wine is rich and complex with notes of blackcurrant, cherry, and spice.

The finish is long and lingering, with a hint of smoke and a subtle floral note of violets.
