The illustrious master of the house had a profound appreciation for the wines from Montaigne’s vineyards, as evidenced by the fresco of white grapes in the Tower's workroom. Since acquiring the estate in 1860, the family has been dedicated to producing wines that reflect the terroir's excellence. The Cuvée Tradition is a blend of 45% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc, and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, embodying the area's red grape varieties. Enjoyable young with decanting or after 8-10 years of aging, it can mature for up to 20 years in favorable vintages. The winemaking process includes careful fermentation and maceration, with malolactic fermentation completed before spring.
