Château Los Boldos Sanama Carmenère Reserva is a ripe, herbaceous red made using a combination of estate fruit typically from younger vines and grapes purchased from local growers. The estate vineyards in the Andes Valley are planted to the east on the foothills of the Andes. They are protected from the moderating influence of the Pacific Ocean by these mountains, but the influence of the Andes also ensures warm days and cool nights provide ideal ripening conditions for the grapes. The winemaking is focused on retaining varietal character without heavy influence from oak.
