The proliferation of vineyards and breweries in Connecticut is a trend that seems to be gaining momentum. Chateau Le Gari, a new winery in Marlborough, has been open for two years. at the same time most of the wines were deemed satisfactory, some were surprisingly impressive. The grapes were sourced from local vineyards, which are still in their early stages of development. A blend of semi-sweet Riesling and other varieties was produced, with a fresh and fruity nose featuring touches of cantaloupe, tropical fruit, and peaches. The close was crisp and refreshing, with a hint of vanilla and a refined tannin structure. A rating of 3.25 out of 5 stars was awarded.
