WINE DESCRIPTION
Château Le Bourdieu is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Petit Verdot. The château was built in 1830 by Phillipe Delacourt, the Lord of Bourdieu. Harvesting is done by machine and grapes are sorted by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel and concrete vats using temperature control and long maceration. The wines are aged for approximately 12 months in oak barrels prior to bottling.

Château Le Bourdieu has a medium ruby hue with moderate staining of the tears.The nose reveals notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum. The dark fruit aromas are accompanied by notes of cedar and tobacco. The wine has a medium body with fine-grained tannins and firm acidity. The plummy fruit is present on the palate coupled with an underlying herbaceous quality. The wine is well balanced with a moderate length finish.
