Château La Tour du Pin has its origins in the historic Domaine "Figeac." In 1879, the owners of Figeac sold 37 hectares to the Corbiere family, who split the land. One half remained Château La Tour Figeac, while the other became Château La Tour du Pin Figeac. In 1947, La Tour du Pin Figeac was divided again, with the smaller portion bought by the Moueix family and later sold to Château Cheval Blanc in 2006, taking the name La Tour du Pin. The estate spans 8 hectares, planted with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and benefits from top-tier terroir and expert management.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
This Château La Tour du Pin Figeac Moueix Saint-Émilion Grand Cru is a delightful wine that exhibits a deep ruby color and aromas of ripe blackberries, cassis, and hints of violets. On the palate, this full-bodied wine is lush and silky, with a complex array of flavors and aromas of dark fruits, cedar, and a hint of spice. The tannins are well-integrated, and the finish is long and lingering. This is an excellent wine for special occasions or to pair with a hearty meal.
