WINE DESCRIPTION
Filia de Grand Mayne is the second wine of Château Grand Mayne, crafted from 35 year old vines and named to reflect its connection to the estate's flagship wine. It comes from vineyards with clay-limestone soils on the hillside and is a blend dominated by Merlot (90%) with a touch of Cabernet Franc (10%). The wine is aged for 18 months, predominantly in new French oak barrels. It embodies the same dedication to quality as the estate's premier offering, with vinification in thermoregulated vats and careful maturation. This is a good choice to get to know the style of this chateau, which is aso more approachable and does not require very much time in bottle to get into perfect drinking shape.
